Traversing the Enchanted Laurissilva: A Hiker's Paradise

Embark on a journey deep into the heart of Madeira's enchanting Laurissilva forest on our 5-day crossing, where nature unveils its true splendor. Encounter the awe-inspiring 100m waterfall nestled within the lush 'green cauldron,' a highlight of this remarkable hike.

 

While predominantly flat, the trail is rugged and technical, woven with tree roots and narrow passages that demand caution. Yet, the reward is unparalleled, with sweeping vistas of Sao Jorge, Santana, and majestic natural mountains painting the backdrop.

 

This captivating route also features four historic man-made tunnels, adding a touch of intrigue to the adventure. Departing Funchal at 7:30am, we ensure an early start to beat the crowds and indulge in a 'technical stop' at a local bakery to fuel up for the journey ahead.
